On Poem: Lonely
Lonely
Athiyyah Nur Hanifah
Fear, Loss, Negativity
controlling my mind each day
I used to be a bright sunflower
in a sacred forest
but the storm, pain, turn me into a dead tree
There’s a man standing behind
He's the well-known philosopher
The one and only, Friedrich Nietzsche
He said
“In loneliness, the lonely one eats himself;
in a crowd, the many eat him.
Now choose, kid”
“Too late, it's already eating me”
I look at him in the eye
with the sight of sorrow
I asked him a question,
“Sir, does loneliness exist in every part of the soul?”
He answers “Yes, it does”
He walks toward me
“And when the happiness removed, the loneliness will take the crown”
